So not only will you be getting up close and personal with some of our most popular animals, you will also have a keeper on hand to answer your. This means for gift purchases, if the date has been left open by the purchaser, the gift recipient has months from date of purchase to contact the Zoo and attend the experience. They can enjoy a day in the life of a keeper at a zoo as they get to work following the daily routine and caring for the animals that live at the zoo.

We’re one of the only zoos in the UK to offer an entire day of one-to-one interaction with a Bristol Zoo Gardens keeper , allowing you to have an intimate experience and visit life in all our animal sections. This is to allow us to book in those whose dates were postponed due to COVIDand those with existing gift vouchers once we able to resume these exciting up close animal experiences. Anyone aged – 17yrs must be accompanied by an adult 18yrs or over who is paying to participate in the same experience.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A CHESTER ZOO EXPERIENCE DAY You’ll get exclusive, behind-the-scenes access that will give you an insight into the daily lives of our staff and animals at the zoo. Mini (5-7) and Junior (8-15) Keepers will both have the opportunity to take an inside look at the inner workings of the zoo and to create special hands-on moments with the animals who live there. Prepare food and enrichment activities, hand fee muck out, groom and learn so much more about your favourite animals.

If you are an animal lover, you’ll love these zoo keeper for a day experiences. Your experience may include some of the following zoo -per activities: Preparing the diets for the Giraffe, Porcupine and Meerkats at animal kitchens under controlled conditions. Going down to the giraffe and feeding them their browse.

Ever fancied mucking in (or mucking out) with a real-life zoo keeping team? Well now’s your chance! You can choose from a range of animals to look after, including some of the world’s most endangered species. You can volunteer in a zoo or wildlife centre to get experience. You could get experience volunteering at: kennels, farms.

We only accept one booking per slot, so your experience will be exclusive to you… and a friend if you can bring yourself to share! You’ll get to spend time with our zoo keepers and you’ll get up close and personal with four of our most popular animals, with our penguin experience, giraffe experience, lion experience and rhino experience. With four to choose from (Lemur, Meerkat, Wallaby), they are guaranteed to make your visit unforgettable! You will cover all sections, including: carnivores, primates, birds, hoof stock and Tropical House during your experience. You will have some great memories of your day at the Zoo and some wonderful keepsakes, including your Keeper For a Day T-shirt, information packs, a certificate and lunch in Café Lemur.

All our experiences are one-to-one with a professional zoo - keeper , who works every day with endangered species. This is the closest you can get to endangered animals in natural surroundings, alongside keepers who know them well, understand their needs and have a wonderful rapport with them. Each experience lasts for about two hours and you will be free to enjoy the zoo for the remainder of the day.

Experience the once in a lifetime opportunity of working with animals. This experience is for a maximum of people, therefore it may be necessary to share some of the activities with another Keeper for the Day participant. Life at the zoo is a little bit different at the moment, so our incredible animal encounters and experience days are on hold for now.

Cant decide what experience to choose or fancy your self as a zoo keeper ? Pop in to treat our Lemurs to a little snack, share. In a day packed full of new and exciting experiences , you’ll step behind the scenes, gaining a wealth of hands-on knowledge from caring for some of our rare and exotic creatures. Our junior keeper experience is available to our younger visitors aged – years. For our older guests aged years and over a half day keeper experience is available. Due to COVID restrictions, this experience is only available as a half day experience in the mornings.

If guests are taking part they must be from the same household. Whack on your wellies to spend the morning shadowing one of our highly trained and friendly animal carers on one of our animal experience days. It’s also a great extra to make your day at Folly Farm even more special.
